A Review on Application of Model Based Systems Engineering to Manufacturing and Production Engineering Systems

Increasing complexity in today’s manufacturing and production industry due to the need for higher flexibility competitiveness is leading inconsistencies iterative exchange loops of system design process. To address these complexities inconsistencies, an ongoing trend organizations make a transition from document-centric principles applications being model-centric observed. In this paper, literature review presented highlighting current industry-wide systems engineering Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Further, investigating tools languages used by researchers facilitating integration MBSE approach, we identify most commonly highlight applicability industry.
